Arrr where to begin!! Absolutely love this festival the perfect mix between great music and great food!! Be back this year for show! Can’t think of. A better way of seeing in the new year!

This festival is clearly aimed for rich people. What is it wth all these rules ? Can't we just have fun? And police on site really?? The festival direction banned alcohol in campings and sold it on site at outrageous prices after claiming that it would be sold at retail price until 5pm, after which the alcohol would be "slightly more expensive". Not only did these "retail" sales stop at 3 Pm, but if going from 3$ to 7.5$ is 'slightly' for you, I would suggest you go back to school, for this is 2.5 times more expensive. Oh and thanks for setting up cashless payment guys, especially the 5$ 'activation fee'. So we need to pay to be able to pay right ? You are the first festival to do so with cashless. With 20 000 people attending, I think you guys made about 100 000$ by doing that. So is the festival only about the money ? As for the quality of the music, it sounded more like a night club than like live music. Of course some artists were good but most of them really didn't care; which I would do as well considering that the crowd is nearly exclusively made of drunk teenagers who are here for the boose. I was very disappointed by RnV, and I am not the only one as I speaking on behalf of my friends as well. I was there the 3 days, even the day before, tried to give it a chance all week long, but it just sucked. Next year I will try Northern Bass for sure.

Perfect place to celebrate NYE in NZ. No better places of you want good crowd, good music and good ambience. Can be better managed and staff can try to be more helpful. Overall great experience.

It was a pretty good experience. The downside was that the alcohol prices were too high at nights and water was expensive (although bars started to provide free water in cups). RnV kept running out of water toward the end of the night till the morning after. Showers were available during certain hours. The DJs were all pretty good. The fridge experience was pretty cool! Was a pretty dusty place. Many young people were there and the music is more for young adults or older people who enjoy the type of music. It is more fun to go with a group of people and stick together.

Organisation and staff are all good. On Rhythm stage 2019 was interruption of video countdown at midnight and awful sound quality first 10 mins after midnight! And drinks prices are ridiculously high, also I couldn't get what I wanted - sold out - really?

My husband and I came to this festival from Canada on our honeymoon in 2013. It's definitely a younger crowd and it definitely gets ROWDY!!!! On our last night, we were told by security that it would likely be in our best interest to pack up our tent and sleep in our car if we planned on using our tent any further throughout this trip. So we did. And we were glad we did. Some tents were lit on fire. It was mad. It really was a fun experience though and I am happy we were able to. The music was pretty good. Not the best lineup that year, but really fun nonetheless.

One of the largest concert events in the southern hemisphere for new year here in Gisborne New Zealand. If I was 10 years younger I would rate it 5 Stars. Great experience for young concert goer's, with the kiwiana feel of camping in the vineyard, it's a well run event that always pleases those that attend with great firework display and thousands of people counting down the old year and celebrating the new year. Lots of money needed for this event.

Well organized event, it's a pity the tickets sell out fast, so you need to be in quick (pre-sale). Nothing to do during the day, so make sure you have extra money to pay for the daily shuttle to town or beaches or you have your own car, its a bit of a distance to walk.
