★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect stop ovee when traveling along the west coast. Not many cafes along the state highway so this place is a gem. Public toilets are just beside as well so its a convenient location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here to grab a water and snack but i think i would rather go thirsty until the next stop in future. Staff very rude/abrupt with no customer service skills at all. Food looked pretty ordinary/past its best by date too so passed on that and settled for water only!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Cafe is streets ahead of the other in Mokau, much cleaner,friendlier and cheaper sorry to say. This Cafe service is friendly, efficient and prompt with a fantastic menu on the wall, plus some self help cabinets for sandwiches, cakes etc. lots of choices for cold drinks, milkshakes, and hot drinks with nice coffee. I am a fan of milkshakes so always happy to have a coffee then a takeaway milkshake for the road. Their whitbait omelettes are very nice and filling, maybe a little expensive but that is just the market price, especially if the season hasn't been the best. Public toilet right next door, so all in all a great place to stop for breakfast, morning coffee, brunch or lunch when in Mokau.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over priced food. For a place famed for it's fishing. This place provided the smallest cuts of fish. It cost over $40 for 3 bits of fish and a scoop of chips. Don't waste your time stopping here. It is better to head around the corner to get a feed elsewhere.
