Brought the "grab one" deal of 8kg's of mixed stone fruit & the day it was delivered there were fruit already rotting on the top of the box. 2 days later,nearly half the nectarines & some of the peaches have been thrown out due to rotting. The quality of fruit is not great. Should have lasted longer than 2 days. Thought I was getting a good deal but will not buy again.

Plums were all so soft that they had to be eaten immediately or frozen for a next time, some rotten as well. Will not buy here again unless my issue is addressed.

Peaches were rotting before they were even ripe and nectarines tasted sour. Plums were ok. Since I wrote this review Have to add Paul did send me some replacement fruit very promptly which was much better and much appreciated.
D	Dave & Brenda on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although we live in Hawke's Bay, my father often buys gift boxes from Riverside Orchards and has them couriered to us. They've always been good quality and arrived promptly but the latest delivery takes the cake. We got next-day delivery of a box containing a rainbox variety of fruit and veges, and a bonus jar of homemade raspberry jam. Absolutely outstanding! The price is very similar for what I would pay at the market and the quality is comparable. The last three times we even got some daffodils as a little present which was a lovely touch.
B	Blair Outhwaite on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered a mixed fruit and vege box. It seems good value for money and the quality is good but our order was packed without care. The box was too small and they squeezed everything in which meant many of the softer fruits got crushed and bruised.

I got apples, pears, peaches & plums all of which had not ripened properly and most were bruised so I had to bottle them all or freeze them until later. Pineapple was ok. Banana' were a bit brown. Only good fruit from the boxes were the grapes & Nectarines. Lemons & oranges had more skin than anything else and weren't nice at all. I was really looking forward to these as it is a really good deal. My orders were also delivered late. I will not shop from here ever again and will spend the extra money in the supermarkets. I would highly suggest that Riverside Orchard ensure their fruit is fully ripened and be more careful when boxing them up to reduce the risk of bruising which easily leads to rotting.
D	Dave Hughes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The quality of produce here is shocking. They made me up a bag of potatoes which were rotting (you could smell the rot). Other veges were also rotting in the store. Why would you try to sell rotting product at market rates? All you are doing is forcing your customers back to the supermarket.
