Rotorua Electroplaters are specialist Hard Chromers providing reconditioning and repair work to hydraulic rams, roll forming machines, saw mill and other machinery.
Established in 1971 we have built a strong and trusted reputation improving and extending the life of our customers large machinery.

Our Services
Our core services are hard chroming and maintenance of hydraulic, sawmill equipment and roll forming parts, e.g. hydraulic rams, plane bed plates and motorcycle stanchions.
We have five plating tanks handling jobs up to 4.5 metres in length.
Our team of specialist engineers are experienced in working accurately to specification.
Our automated plant means we are able to apply hard chrome 24 hours a day over a 7 day period helping customer minimize their downtime.
Hard Chroming
The Hard Chrome plating process involves the following:
Existing chrome or other surface treatments are stripped back to bare metal.
If there is surface rust present, this is linished out.
Any defects or damage is repaired ensuring the piece or part is sound.
Polishing is performed ready for the electroplating process.
The piece or part is wired up on jigs.
Chrome is applied to specification.
