Look them up online and enjoy it for yourselves.
Be sure to clean up after yourselves and shut the gates behind you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice quiet forest with a selection of trails available. It was rather difficult to find the carpark and there were not many signs along the trails. Plan ahead and hike with daylight. Went at night and got lost and went around in circles before finding the right way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can walk into Waipawa Forks hut in the dark. Nice easy track, not obscure, and hut across the stream and down a bit. Dont bother in heavy rain. Best bit is it aint popular, no crowds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely walk for any tramper to explore Ruahine Range, unfortunately we had showers all the way to the hut but legend has it the views are awesome when weathers clear. You start the tramp at 800ish altitude and the sunrise hut is situated at 1300ish height.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to Rangiwahia Hut for one night. Good track and hut. Pretty much up hill all the way to the hut and a very high bridge to cross.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rangiwahia is a fairly easy 2 hour walk for moderately fit people. The hut is spacious and warm. The views are stunning.
