About Ruahine Tanning & Taxidermy
G-day, my name is Jason Goodyer and I’m the owner/operator of Ruahine tanning & taxidermy. Hunting in my family is huge, my father hunted and passed on his passion to me. I loved it so much from a kid I have turned a hobby into a full-time job. I started off tanning my own skins and after awhile friends wanted their skins tanned and it just snow balled from there. I now own a successful taxidermy business mounting big game animals of all species and tanning soft flat skins and all other taxidermy work. I have a creative flare and a good eye for detail enjoying the challenge of always pushing myself to do something new or better. I thrive on helping people to achieve a memory that will last a lifetime.
