β β β β β My husband and I just enjoyed a late lunch at the Rusty Radiator. We were very impressed with the friendly, prompt service and the meal which was excellent value for money. Interesting place with loads of character. Our dog enjoyed her visit there too and was given a fresh bowl of cold water on a very muggy day. Highly recommend if passing through Halcombe.

β β β β β I always drive past and made sure I stopped for a quick snack and drink. The cheese scones were tasty and the mocha was the best I had in a while! Definitely worth visiting!

β β β β β This place is bussin, the fish was so good delicious beer batter. Chips were yum lightly seasoned and nice and crispy. My decaf iced caramal mocha latte size large was really yum and cold just what I needed after a hot Saturday. Special mention to Sam was really friendly and went above and beyond in customer service. Interior is super cool love the retro look and vibe, Really great cafe.

β β β β β Visited the Rusty Radiator Cafe in Halcombe this morning. It was a great place to stop. Staff are lovely and accommodating, food in the cabinets was so tempting and when our food arrived it was hot and tasty.
It's a definite recommendation from me.

β β β β β Popped in on way back from Fielding to Hawera with some guys from motorcycle club.
Orders were at table quickly. Portions were generous, value Good chips chunky and crisp. Everything High quality even down to the serviettes being large and strong (no falling apart at first contact with water)
Service attentive and friendly.
Excellent value, Great service, highly recommended !!!

β β β β β Lots of detail in the decorations and thoughtful touches set this cafe apart. Posters on the wall are interesting, model vehicles from times gone by line shelves. Indoor and outdoor dining, a pile of rugs for warmth. Water jug available when I asked. Magazines to read while you wait. Good selection on the menu, and cabinet food - cakes, pies etc.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

β β β β β Initially they forgot our main meal, but were extremely apologetic, and gave us extra when it arrived. The Chatham Islands blue cod would've had to have been the nicest fish I've ever had. The beer battered fries were perfect. Great coffee and the White Christmas was wonderful and not too sweet. Yes, they made an error but how they dealt with it was superb. This will be one of my new favorite places to eat.
