With our skilled craftsmen you will always get shoe repairs you'll love.
I’m the proud owner of our shoe repair business – which is why my name is ‘above the door’. I was incredibly fortunate to have learnt the fine art of shoe repairs from the previous business owners and Dutch Immigrants, Mr & Mrs Mulder. They had a genuine love for their craft which they were generous to share with me. Marcel Mulder in particular spent time with me after I purchased the business in 2000. Marcel worked alongside me to ensure he passed on his expert knowledge. Marcel was a third generation Shoe Repairer, so I was trained by one of the best. Learning from Marcel, was like taking a sip from a fire hydrant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have some ankle boots where the front of one of them got very badly scuffed due to me falling over. I just wasn’t happy wearing them but didn’t want to buy new ones (they weren’t that old when I damaged them). I took them to Shane’s Shoe Bar to see if they could do anything. And they delivered big time! It is hard to see where the scuff was it was such an awesome result.
Extremely pleased with the result and can thoroughly recommend them…it’s almost like having new boots for no where near the cost!

I damaged the base of both leather heels, Shane repaired the leather and replaced the heel soles. The repair was way beyond my expectations. The heels looked like new. Thank you for an excellent job and service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I sent Shane long riding boots that were a wreck. The inside panel on one boot was ripped out completely, the stitching was gone and the boot was unusable. He did an incredible job of fixing them - basically remaking the inside legs on both boots - and they look like new. Fantastic value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had been through a number of expensive trainers by my big toe piercing the mesh. I was so relieved to discover that Shane’s could insert reinforcing inside the top of my new trainers. I was a little concerned that I’d feel the insert and am thrilled that I wouldn’t even know it is there. It was only a few days wait before they were ready for pickup. It was a pleasure to deal with Shane’s.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shane Barr repaired two pairs of Rm Williams boots for us including resoling and replacing the elastic gussets. We heard they were pretty good but their work exceeded our expectation and both pairs were thoroughly cleaned and polished - look like new. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took 2 pairs of motorcycle boots in for heels and sole repairs as well as a zip on one. They came back as new. Shayne did an amazing job. One pair of boots are 30 years old and they look like they have not been long out of the box. good for another 30. great service.

They have replaced zips in two pairs of my riding boots and did an excellent job on both, returning them in a better state than they left having been cleaned and polished, going above and beyond with customer service. They even went out of their way to ensure the second pair were returned for me to use over Christmas. Highly recommended!
