★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like unpretentious farm setting and are on a budget ... and need to be near Auckland...this place is a great find. Friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful location. Don't consider it if you don't have transport. It's several km from even a small town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I stayed here to break up the long drive to Auckland. The two ladies who live on the farm were really accommodating and welcoming. They even let us feed the baby lambs, which was super cute! You can also use their kitchen if you're preparing a proper meal. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible hostel! Lovely ladies who run the place. It’s got a stunning view, and has such a great atmosphere and peace about it.
It’s a very simple, down to earth accommodation. Beautiful stay if you’re keen for an “out of city” stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A truly wonderful place. The two ladies who own it are kind, lovely, and accommodating individuals. Everything about this place is great.
It's very peaceful and relaxed, and has a fantastic spot to watch the sunrise. There's very friendly animals around, which could be a turn off for some, but probably makes it even more homely for others
It's a little inaccessible, and very well impossible if you don't have a vehicle, but the out of the way/solitude is apart of the charm. And it's less than an hour's drive from Auckland!
the only drawback, is it doesn't quite have all the modern ameddities, of say a hotel, but for a backpackers spot, it's extremely comfortable! I would go out of my way to stay here again, it's the perfect break for a busy trip.
