★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife has a full time job and signed up to your service as a way to make some extra money (living in Auckland is bloody expensive) as such she took on a few shifts here and there in her down time which was brilliant. Until... due to personal circumstances she had to cancel a few shifts that she applied for (three) but also did it within three days before the first shift and one week before the last shift (she made the cancellations all at once). She then received an email that because she pulled out of these shifts (again there were only three!) that her account has been suspended as pulling out is detrimental and means that it affects sidekicker's clients and that other sidekickers have missed out on the role due to when she pulled out(remember she pulled out THREE days before the first shift and ONE WEEK before the last shift). Also there is a clause in the sidekicker "performance policy" allowing them to behave this way. They do not need you and you are replaceable. The tone of their email is condescending and not at all pleasant to read, they are a generally uninterested machine-like corporation who have no room for error. I understand that they are running a business at the end of the day and have standards to uphold, but seriously - three strikes and you are out even with plenty of notice?
Great company to get a few shifts here and there from them but whatever you do, don't have a personal life at all that can sometimes get in the way of doing your shifts for them - this is unacceptable and you must at all times be part of the machine.

Most of the crew provided have been great, and once when we ran into an issue the Sidekicker management team worked with me to resolve it within a timely fashion. I would recommend them to anyone requiring temp event crew

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think it's great! Interview was done online had 3 days to complete so very convenient. Job vacancies are loaded on the app if/when available, it's up to you if you apply or not. Which works perfectly for me as I have a fulltime Job and can work other things around it. It also shows how many hours, rate and ytotal amount you "could" make if accepted for the job. The "clients" cant see your CV so its completely up to your words/performance to get and keep the jobs! The down fall is they may advertise an 10 hour shift but you may do less. Im no longer locked down to 1 client so im more at ease with working for them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great company to work for, I have had some great opportunities so far. I love how flexible the work is, and if a client really likes you, they will have you back, which means more shifts in the future.
I also love how convenient it is to contact them on the app. If you need to ask any questions, they are always there to help.

All the services are free. You just need to go there and register yourself and do the onboard procedure and then you can start apply for jobs. It is a good alternative option for student job search

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst! They have made countless mistakes in regards to my pay. They’re so unfair, they don’t even try to reason with you or come to a fair conclusion. It’s their way or no way, even if you are entitled to things. Definitely would not recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wouldn’t recommend. Disorganised, be prepared to chase up unpaid work. Their team is dishonest and my biggest regret is not recording the meeting where antoni lied to me about future work. If I had the evidence I would have cleaned them up in mediation or the through the ERA. Good people of NZ stay far away!
