★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grace, Ashleigh and Anna are the 3 beauty babes I see at Skinvae. I could not ask for better service. They are all super lovely and very professional. I get all my waxing, IPL and lashes done with the girls and my results have been fantastic!! They all make you feel very comfortable.
Grace worked her magic with my makeup for a wedding and the end result was stunning according to all the compliments I received.
Anna has done an amazing job on my eyebrows and the experience was very professional and great after care.
Simply love this team. Anna you should be very proud!!

Every staff member is extremely skilled and is a true master of their profession. Do yourself a favour and book one of their amazing facials, it’s such a treat and you’ll leave feeling like a weight has been lifted ❤️ I couldn’t recommend Skinvae any more highly (this coming from someone who has had beauty treatments all over the world) 10/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the 3rd time out of 5 I have been moved/cancelled/bumped.
They don't accommodate working women outside of their work hours. They change timing too much then try to charge the client more. They don't use professional discretion to determine what a lash infill cost is but rather a "computer says no" approach to charge a client more - and cancel your appointment with less than 12 hours notice!
Staff don’t follow follow up since having had lashes done and had my details sitting next to a computer screen for someone to call to book a fill (as a place becomes available).
If you book online yourself and think you book the right service they send you an automated text message the night before your next day morning appointment flat out cancelling - your not even worth a phone call.
So reading my above comments and experiences, how does one book a lash appointment and have lashes done?
Unfortunate because the lash job is really quite good!
For close contact services when you are in the room with client you take your masks off or not wear them properly.
To the response from staff member below:
- These appointments were booked when Waikato had 0 covid cases. I feel sorry for any small business right now.
- I mentioned in my comments above how staff removed masks during appointments.
- No Saturday options were available. This may have recently changed. Doesn’t change the fact that there is nothing available after weeks sitting with my name on the computer. Yet when I book online it gets cancelled less than 12 hours notice - clearly this booking went to someone that didn’t book a month out.
**Again, these are facts not “feelings”, these events actually took place, more than twice.
Don’t attempt to gaslight your clients that you have wronged. Own it, learn from it, improve on it - or expect more reviews like mine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not okay, I have been going here for multiple years now and it's just been getting worse. I booked in with "Abby" months in advanced as she was so booked up. When I get there I find that it is was another lady as Abby had left. There was no email, call or message asking if I wanted to re-book.
I ended up doing a lash lift treatment with the Grace, "a senior therapist". The lash lift itself was fine but the job felt very rushes. It was late in the day but that's no excuse for a bad treatment. I walked out with some solution allover my eye lids and even eyebrows. Also, every person I have seen does this treatment different and it has never been the same process each time.
I messaged to complain and what I got back was so disappointing. They forgot to message me about changing therapists because I was "so far in advanced". They then made it seem as though I was lying about the treatment, saying "she is a senior therapist and booked weeks in advanced". And from what I have read from other reviews, they also don't seem so honest to admit their mistakes. After the owner said she would talk to Grace the next morning, I never heard anything back. Nothing.
