★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Life somehow gets more complicated as you get older and organizing business set-ups and doing tax returns can be the last straw. From the time I first discussed taxes and business set ups with Brett many years ago, it was obvious he new more about the tax system than folk from tax department. Brett was instrumental in designing an innovative business set up and continues to provide helpful advice; but the biggest relief for me is that each year my tax issues are efficiently resolved with minimal stress or time wasting. Also a real interesting guy to talk to about all sorts of things!

Top notch communication skills, have a solid grasp on ones business needs, he stays up to speed on the latest in accounting trends - what more could you ask for?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My previous accountant liked charging for time not delivering value. Then I met Brett! I can say that Brett is a no nonsense guy whose team is committed to the converse. If you want a no BS approach and predictable costs with a full spectrum service .. dont bother going elsewhere! At Slater allow you to focus on your stuff while they do the stuff you hate, cant do or have no time for and they don't do it well they do it with excellence! Yes this sounds like an ad for them .. they deserve it! I feel like a customer not a number.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were very fortunate to find an accountant who was able to sort out our accounts as they were not in the best state of affairs. This required a lot of correspondence and two interviews. Bret was at all times very approachable and very understanding. He gave us excellent advice and despite the additional heavy demand on his time his charges remained the same.
We enjoyed the coffee at his practice and appreciated his thoroughness and depth of his explanations.
We were delighted at the very high professional services we received and will be returning.

However, for me, Slater and Co are much more than merely that: I have a company and two trusts, and I've entrusted Brett to look after them all for me for more than 15 years now. Why? Because, in my experience, Brett is approachable, straightforward, trustworthy, accurate, thorough, and unobtrusively professional. And he's always made himself available to help me work through issues, both business and personal. For example, just a few weeks ago he took time out from his Fijian holiday to help me retrieve a tricky real estate transaction -- and at no additional charge! That is the kind of service I've come to appreciate.
