★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the windscreen in stock in chch and shipped overnight for a quick replacement. The car did have to go back for the EyeSight to be recalibrated as it wasn't done properly the first time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heading towards Ashburton a truck threw up a stone and chipped our windscreen. Did a quick Google and found a Smith & Smith glass workshop in Ashburton. Called in and were told it could be fixed - come back in an hour. Returned and waited while the repair was undertaken. When finished the job was perfect - no indication the damage had occurred. Super impressed with the service and the professional job done!! Insurance picked up the tab. Well done Ashburton Smith & Smith.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This small windscreen chip turned into a disaster. I brought in a rare car and asked for advice about the stone chip that had been there for several years and was advised it hardly ever happened maybe 1 in a 100. After it split the 'technician' changed his tune and said it occurs from time to time, "maybe 1 in 20"... then the boss came out and said "1 in 4"!! Had I been told this (or the fact that old chips are less likely to crack if left) I would have not gone ahead. A new screen has to be imported from the states at a cost of $3k. I took it to the 'experts' for advice, so a bit disappointing.
No apology. They said I authorised it. No problem they'd sort a new screen through my insurance company. I know that but S&S there is no accountability for your lack of customer care. My insurer covers their backside. I understand the risk! but I did ask first... never again.
