Only rent an apartment here as a last resort. Apartments are very small, not well sound proofed and there is a monthly charge for water. I would have thought a building this new would have double glazed windows to help with sound proofing but it does not. If you are renting here avoid any apartment which faces Taranaki Street.

We have been living there for 3 months, great location, modern - our place is very quiet but I think it depends on where you are and you neighbors. Downside is paying for water, but great compared to some of the other options around town.

Pros: -great location -modern appartment living -scenic views depending on where you live Cons: -extremely noisy. The appartments are not double glazed, despite being in the centre of town. You will be woken up early in the morning by random drunks in and around the building. -only 2 lifts for nearly 400 apartments -moving in and out is awful and not recommended on a rainy day -rent is pretty steep for what you get -Must pay for water including fixed charges -relatively small sized apartments -obnoxious neighbours

Lived a year on the third floor of this complex, on the Egmont St side of the building. Don't do it. It looks nice, but there is no heating or double glazing, meaning you'll freeze to death half of the time. No double glazing means those southerlies go straight into your apartment and street noise comes trough loud and clear. The garbage truck woke me up at 6am every morning because of those thin windows. Balcony was also unusable because of the wind. There are only two lifts for the 300+ apartments, and one is often blocked for movers. You also have to pay for hot and cold water (with fixed charges) giving you an extra $100 per month cost. The gym and pool are poorly maintained. The center location is the only thing it has going for it. Just don't do it.

The location is probably the best thing about this place. And the dry sauna. And fibre Internet availability. The price of rent for the apartments are steep though. Whilst that would have been justifiable if you had enough living space to entertain flatting, that is not the case. Not only that but you also have to pay for water. On the bright side, you never run out of hot water for a shower. On the other side, unlike other rentals it adds up to your utility bills.

Good value rent if you find an apartment with a view.

Nice apartment and lovely views but have had construction going on for the past 3 months with workers in and out of the apartment constantly. No flexibility from building managers regarding this and it has interfered a lot with my WFH. Would recommend moving here once all construction is finally complete but definitely not during.

Rented a unit for a year and was a good experience. Nice view from higher floors, shame construction took place not long after I moved in and still going until today. Definitely some loud noises from construction, something to consider if thinking about moving in to Soho, combined with the fact that YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR WATER (which for me is around $80-$120 a month of standard usage) Don't worry about the lift. Yes, one of them sometimes stopped working, but I don't think it happened that often, or atleast the building manager will always try to fix it ASAP.
