We had Solarcity solar panels installed in Dec 2021, and everything has gone extremely smoothly so far with the various people it takes to get the whole thing running! Very good communication throughout the process. Although it's only been connected for the last few weeks, we can see the benefit it will be.

Just had the installation completed this week within a 4 hour period from start to finish. Very professional, tidied up totally after they were finished. Just waiting for the inspection and then we will be connected and begin to benefit from using Solar energy! Everyone needs to upgrade to this beneficial style of energy use and stop using fossil fuels.

SolarZero ensured the entire installation process was smooth sailing and painless. The electrical contractors they work with in Palmerston North were very professional and respectful of the property and occupants - and very good at problem solving as this was not a straightforward installation. A very good result and which is already proving its worth.

Awaiting meter and connection. Salesman satisfied all our queries. We had own solar in former home and on boat so have had experience. The whole deal seems attractive - a no-brainer even - and hearing about the government subsidy and who was backing the company were enough to clinch the deal. Installation was very well done by a professional team of two who arrived when promised. Hope the team handling house-sale situations has increased its skills - again, probably location-related. Have read all the reviews posted - seems that negatives were probably geographical, and that initial poor customer service has been remedied.

I'm a β€œfoundation customer” of SolarCity (now SolarZero) having signed on when they began operating in New Zealand. TLDR; 10/10 - just do it. Q. Is it affordable? A. Yes. The only cost you’ll experience is the monthly lease. Q. Will I save money? A. Yes. In fact, when it comes to your total energy costs, they even go so far as to guarantee it. You might not save a heap in year 1, but remember that we’re playing the long game here, and your lease will not go up. Q. Is it better to lease than to buy a system outright? A. Yes, I think so. No up-front costs. No installation or maintenance costs. Constantly monitored so that if anything goes wrong, SZ can put it right... and all this while saving money on your total energy costs. If you own your own system, all the install costs, repair costs, and maintenance are on YOU. What’s more, if you get it a bit wrong and you don’t save money overall because you aren’t an industry expert, then … well …. that’s on you, too. Q. Are SZ easy to deal with? A. Yes. Every call I’ve ever made has been answered promptly, and I’ve never been given the run-around. Q. Does the install look good? A. OMG yes, it looks SO COOL! Q. Do I need to learn to manage the system?? A. Nope …. once it’s set up, you can forget about it, unless you want to show it off to your friends. SZ monitor the system to make sure it’s behaving … just last week I got a phone call from the team to give me a report on the performance of my own install, and it’s running exactly as planned. They even sent me an email with the break-down numbers to look at as we went through it. Q. Should I get a SZ system A. Yes … I can’t think of a single reason why EVERYONE shouldn’t have one – it's essentially risk free! SZ customers would become the biggest power generation system in the country.

Amazing customer service, amazing product. Loving our new solar panels. They are already saving us a lot of money and I love being able to track in real time how much power is used, produced, stored and exported to the grid. The customer service was amazing and the installation was excellent (except a small dent in the roof). Would recommend to anyone.

We had our solar panel installed about 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for the whole thing to be quality checked then activated but we are overall joyful and excited about the whole new move we've made. SolarZero have a good sales team. Timer was nice and easy to talk to, professional and efficient getting his job done. Minal was easily approachable when it comes to the account questions and the installation team was nice and friendly. With the current COVID situation we are in, I was totally surprised that they have kept their scheduled installation without delay. As for the system, can't wait to see it up and running and do our bit towards a greener world.

The installation job was done professionally and without any issues. The testing period took a while as there were some issues with the battery not charging. I was not informed of it until I started monitoring it and asked about it. They were not proactive in informing me of the issue until I noticed it and contacted them. Their Customer Service representatives need to be more proactive and inform us of any delays especially if their goal is to save us money. As a result we are still not activated. By the time this gets sorted the summer time will be over and we will not be enjoying good savings on our power bill. Could be better.
