About Solemar
Eldernet was established in 1997 as a direct result of the founders seeing the need for a comprehensive information service that focussed on issues concerning older people in New Zealand. The internet seemed to be the perfect way to make this information available and so, Eldernet was born.
With this impartial information, older people, their families and professionals who work in this sector, can access comprehensive information that enables them to make more informed decisions.
Our shared passion for outstanding customer service and the sector in which we all work means that all users of Eldernet are greeted with a smile and ‘can do’ attitude. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We want to say a special thank you to all the staff at Solemar over the 3 years that Mum was with you. I am sure she was not the easiest person to deal with on occasions. Dementia is such a dreadful disease.
You were all very accommodating with her love of your 2 cats – the over feeding and total obsession she had with them. They did bring her great joy. They also assisted greatly when she first moved into Solemar.
We did have some lovely stories that were recounted at Mum’s funeral about Solemar.
Our family cannot thank you enough for your caring and the love you gave Mum.
