β β β β β South Head General Store is what the corner store used to be like but with more. The owners are always more than happy to share their knowledge of the area. They are a mine of information regarding fishing locally. There is something for everyone, ice cream for the kids, amazing coffee, bait for the fisherman/woman, fishing tackle, hot pies and staples for the pantry.
It has a very clean toilet, playground for the kids, plenty of parking for the boat as well. Its dog friendly and just overall friendly.
My friends and I enjoy going here for a coffee and a chat. We seems to turn up around closing time but they always make us feel welcome. So glad we have such a great store to go to when we are in South Head.

We went to Te Rau PΕ«riri Regional Park, last Sunday and noticed that a new store had opened so gave it a try. Well, that coffee is absolutely amazing. The guys are very friendly and weβll come back as often as we can. Well done guys!

β β β β β The owners are very nice people, the coffee was great, the place looks amazing, the toilet is the cleanest I have ever seen! We had 3 kids, they gave them a chalkboard and chalk to draw with. That place is a hidden treasure! I will definitely go back!

β β β β β Six out of five stars!!! The owners are amazing guys who set out on a quest to set up something truly unique, and gents......you've succeeded admirably. The coffee is awesome (better than anything you'd find in downtown Auckland) backed up by helpful, friendly service. The lads are completely clued up on info of the local area or simply happy for a good ol' chin wag. Definitely go and visit and don't forget to check out all of the little nik nacks for sale on the shelves. Some really handy stuff there.

β β β β β Been there twice now. First time was ended up there after a tiki tour and was thoroughly impressed with the place and the people. The Guys were super helpful and fully of the joy of life, really great. Know the area well too. Coffee and drinks are top notch and they have all the little things you need on a trip. Visit, seriously.
