★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just an outright brilliant little place. Super friendly, amazing coffee (few places bother to make an iced filter coffee good but they make it delicious) great specials and all round great food. Scrambled eggs were perfect, like just the right amount of buttery and even the soup special (and I generally dont much care for soup) was brilliant. It's nearly impossible not to get a cheese scone, they are just right and provide the perfect amount of salted butter to go on them. My photo only has half the bottom of a scone because I couldnt help but eat it immediately. A+ would recommend and am looking forward to trying more things.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food: 1 star - awful, had acid reflux for several hours afterwards.
Service: 2 stars - OK. Pretty standard. They were busy so minimal interaction. One minus was that they gave us sparkling water without asking our preference.
Ordered the 2 items on their special menu. It's their specialty so must be something worth being proud of, right?
Sounded nice from the descriptions, but turned out to be plasticy sausage and cold soggy bread for $38.
Coffee was OK.
Saw some nicer options being served. Apparently we chose wrong! Would benefit from pictures on menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, great coffee. Immaculate service! The kitchen and staff were incredibly accommodating of my nut allergies and communicated it with the whole team. I've never felt more looked after and welcome at a cafe. The passion of the team for the quality and flavours of the food was also quite inspiring. They obviously care a lot about their service and products which is so great to see :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down the most beautiful food I’ve eaten since being in New Zealand. Chips were perfect, real hand cut potato with togarashi salt and sesame Mayo! Went down well with their housemate Gochujang hot sauce. The ‘doubles’ (housemate turmeric flatbreads with curried chickpeas, mango chutney, roasted coconut, corriander and pickled cucumbers) were just delightful. A flavour experience I didn’t know I needed. Service and coffee were great, 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for lunch in Christchurch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here after finding out that the Portershed doesn’t check vaccine passes and only does takeaway... (I prefer my brekkie without a side of covid) and wow, we should have come here first in the first place! Absolutely amazing coffee, really interesting and different menu, lovely and friendly staff, cool vibes with fun music and funky decor. Highly recommend, thanks for the awesome brunch ✌?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place. I make a detour to grab a coffee from STC and it's always good. I've never actually eaten here so can't comment on the food, but the service is great, it's north facing so is bathed in sunshine on a nice day and the place generally has a nice atmosphere. One of the few cafes that would make me want to come into the city! Definitely recommend you check it out.
