β β β β β This is a one of a kind Data Centre, very well maintained and if you are in New Zealand and are looking for DC space you should really visit and consider this DC as a choice for your equipment.

β β β β β The Spark Data centre in Takanini certainly has a strong focus on security (perhaps a little too strong). Although its not a "lights out" facility you should probably regard it as one if you put your kit here, because the process required to actually access your equipment will prevent you from being able to drive up to site and just "get in". I would describe this DC as "top notch". It doesn't look like Spark has skimped on anything. Everything is well organised and very professional.
Although my own personal opinion, I prefer the Datacom Kapua facility instead (in Hamilton). Datacom are just easier to work with than Spark, and I prefer to have a life with less grief when I am having to deal with an issue. I also prefer the physical location of Hamilton, being outside of the Auckland region, and its "ring of fire" volcanoes and proximity to the sea (sea = bad tidal waves during earth quakes or volcanic eruption under water).
