This morning I enjoyed a truely excellent brunch at Sparrow Cafe. Self proclaimed the “friendliest cafe in Auckland”, Sparrow lived up to it’s claim.
The Eggs Benedict easily fit into my top 5 eggs Benny in Auckland. The cabinet food looked mouthwatering, thus I plan a return visit.
Sparrow is a stand out not only for host and operator Gary and theendlessly smiling staff, it also has my unqualified recommendation for it’s pets friendly policy. Derek

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good coffee and hot chocolate. Friendly staff. Food was disappointed. I ordered “the spicy” my son got “salmon dance”. Both of them were tasteless, and breads were really hard to be cut.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the Banana Bread French toast and an Oat-milk Flat White.
Absolutely delicious and spot on with the coffee. Really great little spot with a windowed verandah nestled among the car traders on Great South Rd.
My only complaint was a few of the fruit choices clashed in the dish and it could have been hotter. Still absolutely delicious and gorgeous presentation. Will be back to try other things and their frozen meal offerings.
