About SpiritRides
Stephanie learned to walk and ride horses simultaneously growing up in Germany.
Her family has always owned, bred and competed horses, and at the age of 11 she got her first job working in a Trakehner Stud after school and in holidays.
She started teaching at the age of 17, moved to New Zealand permanently in 1996, to Raglan and her current property in 2000 and has been operating SpiritRides since 2011.
Stephanie says: “Our horses are well schooled and handled and worked in both Natural Horsemanship as well as European methods. This ensures you to ride a sensible and responsive horse.
What makes SpiritRides special and unique is the one-on-one lessons and time you will be having with the horse and instructor.
Our setting is most peaceful and surrounded by forest, farms and native bush.
It is about you and the horse – in your own time without pressure from others.
Privacy assures you to feel comfortable and connect and work with the horse in your own time.
I am very flexible with hours and happy to move at your own pace to get back the confidence you may have lost, or to give you that first time connection you have always wanted with a horse or pony.
Not only am I an experienced horse person, but have got a lot of life experience and know the important role horses play in re-gaining confidence and healing.

Stephanie and her family are super nice and always keen to create a special moment for everyone interested in their amazing horses. The horses are well taken care of and one can easily see how much Steph cares about them and how much she knows about them.
