★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hahaha the council pledged to match local fundfaisers dollar for dollar, blithely underestimating their dedication, and when the opportunists of the Tuapeka community had finished driving a truck through that administrative crack there was enough funding leftover for a gymnasium and two palliative-care-standard private changing rooms. Wonderful... these are the kiwi stories we love best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic community pool in a very welcoming community. I am no expert on pool sanitation but this pool had really lovely water. $4 contribution per swimmer is money very well spent. You can get a key to enter by calling one of the names posted on the door.
