The place has hidden gems like any other op shop. But what i love about this one is the kind service of the volunteers. Lovely ladies!

really good place to find cheap second hand things! lots of dining ware and cutlery available for super good prices (got these cups at $2 each), and are all super nice!! they sell loads of homeware and books (for $1 each), really a wide variety of stuff to look at and you can get some pretty good finds! recommend coming here if you’re looking for some nice homeware items / toys and stuff

Was in store today where I witnessed the (manger?) speaking rudely and In a bullying way to a staff member. It was disgusting to witness. If this staff member was working in paid employment they would have every right to make a formal complaint to HR department. The fact they are probably not getting paid makes it even worse. I complained to man at counter about what I saw, but the more I think about it the angrier I get that someone who is probably being paid thinks he can treat staff this way. If I saw this behaviour in any retail store I would make a complaint about it to the companies head office.

Could be great, nice staff but very expensive. Seems they don’t know prices of things as new is cheaper than half of the stuff in here. Also pretty messy, stuff all over the floor. Much cheaper at Salvation Army, pretty sad when all is donated.

Horrendously expensive, I understand they do good work and are underfunded by the government, but realistic pricing would keep things turning over better and encourage more sales and donations. I don’t know who advises on pricing, but I can purchase on Trade Me the Temuka stoneware plates for exactly half the asking price at St John. No wonder they’ve been sitting on the shelf for months!

One of the best thrift stores I’ve been to. Excellent selection of clothing, as well as cheap prices. Most clothes are $4 and rarely some are $6 or $8.
