★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haven't stepped foot in here for nearly 20 years. Used to attend Youth Group here in the late 90s on Saturday nights. They were awesome!
I hope the Woolston Community and surrounding suburbs make use of this nice multi use venue. The Church is in a top notch condition with a Pipe Organ and the detail is beautiful. Perfect for Weddings or Presentations. The Hall is a good decent size with a fully equipped kitchen. There are other small spaces you can also hire. It's super affordable. The cheapest rates around. Beats Council and other Community Centres rates and this place is just as good if not better in my opinion.
It is run by volunteers who are up 6am cooking and baking for the community every Thursdays during school term. They have a Food Bank, Fruit and Vege Stand and Group Sessions for Women, the elderly etc. If you're a Youth Leader/s looking for space to run activities for tamariki or rangatahi, a Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor wanting run group sessions or anybody who is wanting to hold group sessions of any kind on the Eastside for the Community this Hall is the perfect space. Special events of any occasion, they have everything at this Site.
The volunteers are lovely people who are welcoming and looking for more volunteers every day so they can keep the Church running and continue to provide these services to the Community. Go check it out, hit up Lorna if interested in Volunteering or Hiring out spaces. Ka pai St John Anglican Church for all the mahi you're doing for the Community. ????❤️
