★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely and very impressive building, can sometimes be occupied by children from the neighboring school St Joseph's but they are usually very well behaved and the teachers usually seem to have everything under control.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunningly beautiful basillica, lovely statues and decorative ceiling. Often come here for Mass if we miss morning mass in invercargill north. Can recommend the heating under the pews .... Nice and warm in winter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This grand building from the outside offers the promise of great things inside, well sorry the inside is very bland and contains little of the greatness that the outside radiates. Inside it is quite modern, with some interesting 3D pictures of Christian parts of the bible, and one stained glass window of any significance. A little bit of plasterwork around the inside of the dome, bit nothing you can't get at a DIY store. If you are in the area, have a look at the outside but then move on, more interesting things to do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited this church not long after visiting Istanbul and noticed its similarity to Sancta Sophia there. We had to ask for a key to see the interior so I asked the priest about it. He commented that the first priest commissioned an architect to build the church based on Sancta Sophia, as he had visited it and been impressed by it.
