★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here after a bad experience trying to buy a lawnmower from Hornby Mitre 10. You get 5 star service here. Staff are knowledgeable and professional. They even unpacked the lawnmower I brought, assembled it, added oil and petrol and tested it started (at no extra charge) and then placed the lawnmower in the boot of my car, you will never get that level of service at Mitre 10 or Bunnings. Highly recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I 've bought a hedge trimmer from this branch. I have a small hedge and I totally use it less than 20 times but it suddenly stopped working. Still, the the warranty period wasn't finished and I went to this branch for repair. At the end they charged me for a fault that was from the tool. The sales person confirmed this fault was not from misusing of the tool. but he told the warranty service is just for faulty parts and the warranty doesn't cover any fault rather than parts. This is very disappointing. Here are the main points if you ever decided to buy any tool from Stihl in Blenheim Rd:
-When you want to buy any tool from Stihl the price is double but they mention quality and customer service cover the difference.
- If you buy the same product but different brand from Mitre10 or Bunnings, the price is half and also because of great customer service that the Chain stores has, they replace or refund as soon as they find the fault comes from the tool. Chain stores do not consider making money from their repair shop but when you deal with STIHL, since they spend money to have the repair workshop on the back of their store they try to make money from customers.
- Service and customer service of this shop is not satisfactory.
- I have never ever bought any tools that works for less than 20 times as hedge trimmer from STIHL worked and then it damaged because of bad design.
My experience with customer service of STIHL, Blenheim was very poor and I am launching a complain under Consumer Guarantees Act NZ.

Both are totally delighted with my purchases with my daughter saying that it is the very best thing that she has ever been given; my husband, retired farmer, is astounded it is and how easy it is to use. Well done Stihl and the staff at Blenheim Road, who were so helpful and friendly.
