★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can only endorse previous reviews regarding Strathnairn cottage as it is very clean, has well appointed kitchen & is very peaceful & located on a quiet rural road.
However the Strathnairn cottage website claim it is only 12 minutes drive to Martinborough is absolutely a load of rubbish! A local who knows the corners on the (very windy in parts) road driving like a maniac would not even make it in 12 minutes! A far more realistic, comfortable drive takes closer to 20 minutes! Paying $218 per night for a cottage 20 minutes from town on a windy, country road without cellphone coverage, when one wants to explore the areas wineries/eateries, I question if it is value for money compared to better located accommodation!
