★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They sell a nice vision but fail to deliver. Great salesmen working here but not the best builders. Worst experience of working with a builder. I do note the site was difficult and they were messed around by the architect (who they claimed they used regularly and was one of the best) but the responsibility taken by Stroud Homes and the communication was extremely poor. Patience we were told was key but after 6 months of being mucked around and no results to show for work that was claimed to have been done, a decision to find a new builder was made. My experience may be a one off but just thought I'd ensure a potential customer was aware of how I have been treated by Stroud and use that to make an informed decision as to who they chose to have their house built by.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are currently building with Stroud Homes Pokeno/ Pukekohe. We’ve had nothing but complete transparency and open communication along the way. The quality of the build and the attention to detail and finish each contractor Stroud uses has been so pleasing to us as customers. It is important to point out that we are building during COVID times and lock downs have interrupted our timeline which is no fault to Stroud and is what it is. If you are planning to build - keep this in mind as it is tough on industries trying to deliver their best to customers under the these times. In saying that, we’ve never felt we’ve been left in the dark. And as soon as lockdowns have lifted Stroud has been ready to get on with it.
We have built a customised home and that is why we chose to use Stroud as they are excited to create your vision and design what you want rather than go with a preset plan. Nothing has been impossible for them. From the Admin team to Mike to our project supervisors to every tradie - we have enjoyed the journey and appreciated what they have delivered.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great bunch of guys to deal with. My wife and I have had many questions and variations done our original design and every time these were handled professionally and with speed. We have received weekly updates and plenty of good advice for our build. Whenever there was a delay such as architects or additional requests, we were accordingly notified of the delay and a new time line given. I would highly recommend Stroud Homes as they give you that personal touch which is somewhat missing with some other outfits out there.

We have enjoyed everything so far from our meetings during COVID to designing our home to picking the materials which will be used on our home .
Stroud have been responsive to everything we’ve asked for and always professional .
They’ve given us accurate pricing on everything so we are able to stay within our budget so we don’t get any surprises during the build .
Eddie , Maddy And Chelsea have exceeded our expectations and I would absolutely recommend them with future new house builds !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having engaged with a range of building companies prior to visiting Stroud and being given the impression that our budget would only enable us to build a fairly standard spec house, when we met with Eddie and the Team from Stroud they had a different approach from the outset.
Rather than asking us what our budget was straight away, he focused on what we needed and wanted. Mike and Eddie then visited the site and as a result of that visit and understanding our requirements and budget constraints Eddie suggested we go down the route of a bespoke build.
We never thought we would be able to work with an architect and plan our house from the ground up. From design through to choosing out the fixtures and fittings the team at Stroud have been there to support and guide us through this journey every step of the way.
