★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst haircut I've ever had, not blended at all and the hair line at the back of my neck was completely crooked. Went back in the following day to ask for a refund, the barber had to call the manager Leanne so I had to speak to her on the phone. She said she couldn't give me a refund as SHE had to view the haircut, told me to come back again on Monday. Needless to say, I would never set foot in this shop ever again so left out of pocket with a rubbish haircut and terrible customer experience. AVOID

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are a lot of barber shops in Wellington City but after having monthly haircuts in town for the past 20 years or more, for me there are a small number of standout hairdressers in the CBD that form the iconic heart of the industry and Swan Barbers in Bond Street is one of those. There are another 3 Swan Barbershops in the city but Bond Street is my favourite. Very handy location, most often very busy at peak times owing to popularity - they are very accommodating but pays to try to pick an off peak time to visit - staff seem to change regularly however they have a knack of picking hairdressers with good experience and capabilities - took my teenage son in for a scissor cut today - hair was quite shaggy from over the Xmas period and he was a bit apprehensive about about having a decent trim but 20 minutes in the chair resulted in a pretty fantastic professional haircut that completely met both my sons and my expectations - but that's what you get from a decent barbershop - quality consistency, dependability and reliability.
