A	Alexander Terry on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My memories of Takitimu have always been good ones and include memories of Mum Marsh and her green and bright orange flowered apron with flour and cake batter, Wi Huata and his black suit and white collar and glasses which i found out later in my life he wore because he was a canon in the church (the suit), the fence that ran down the side of the marae(cookhouse side) that we were told NOT to climb and my nani pa having to wash me cause i was quote " taringamaro" unquote, being bribed with lollies or popsicles to pick up the rubbish or smoke butts around the marae, entertaining groups of tourists who came to Takitimu and them giving me 20 cents or 50 cents because i was adorable(made good money out of that) sliding from the door to the other end of the whare in my socks.I remember encouraging one of the kuzzies who had cerebral palsy to climb the fence and having to find his aunty cause he got stuck, how was i to know he couldn't do the same things as me sori kuz and many more . I give all my love respect and laughter to those who helped raised me, taught me and loved me unconditionally you will always remain in my living memories

Awesome place to have birthdays, family meetings and gatherings, weddings, unveilings, funerals, and other special events. Marae style accommodation and facilities. Nice rural & country feel which is a 5min drive to the closes shop in Makaraka and a further 8min drive to the main city of Gisborne. Great marae to stay.
