★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing spot. Great beach, well set up house with everything you need. Two properties: a smaller one and a bigger and more spacious one with Wi-Fi, Sky etc. Relaxing place with great fishing (just saw a guy on a kayak bring in a 19lb snapper!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our stay at Russell was excellent. The accommodation was big, very well maintained and situated right on the beach. There were 7 of us staying and we were all very comfortable in the accommodation. The property is very well stocked and the furniture and fixtures and fittings were more akin to being at home rather than a rental property. There was a huge deck for us to relax in the evening and sip our drinks as we watched the most glorious sunsets. The children could also play on the trampoline on the large grassed area between the decking and the beach. There is plenty to explore around Tapeka as well. I went hiking round the various local trails for a good 5 hours or so one morning, up to Flagstaff as well as discovering hidden coves. A little further afield were the town of Russell (lots of interesting history) and just across the water Paihia. We loved being able to forget about what time it was, just enjoying the beautiful scenery and discovering hidden gems as we explored. We had access to kayaks and so we ventured out on the ocean one day, even though it was NZ winter. I would certainly recommend Tapeka Del Mar for a long weekend (or even longer) to relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity that Bay of Islands has to offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely perfect location❤Loved the house, especially the separate kids room. We used the kayaks and dingy everyday. We all jumped off the pontoon and loved the clear deep water. Also loved seeing the dolphins every day.❤❤❤❤❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply stunning position that is hard to beat. If you are looking for a kiwi batch experience with all the comforts of home this property ticks all the boxes.
Everything was spotlessly clean with plenty of supplies.
Super friendly Cherie welcomed us and made sure we were comfortable, she even shared some great fishing tips. We will definitely be returning next year.

Tapeka Del Mar What can I say? A Perfect 10/10? Beautiful Deck to enjoy your BBQ and Beers, Play frisbee, enjoy the Kayak, Watch the Sunset. If there was 10 Stars you definitely deserve 10 Stars?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This holiday rental is very well located at the end of the Tapeka peninsular. A breach right at your doorstep. A west facing deck that is perfect for relaxing on at the end of the day with a wine, while you watch the sun set.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful little bach situated on a slight hill immediately in front of beach. Unfortunately some of the charm has been eroded in the past year due to neighbours cutting down hedges, poisoning a large olive tree, and the owners putting somewhat of an eyesore of a prefabricated building directly in front of one of the properties. Thankfully most of the view from the upper cabin is preserved.
