A barbeque type table with seating is for those who wish to relax and ponder for a while.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both sides of road. I had no children with me so went to the art side of the road.
The sculpture is in a perfect place looking over the estuary where real birds make their home.
There is a notice board explaining about the birds and sculpture. On the Mapua side of the Ruby Bay drive you can see the fish sculpture.
Nice that the birds emerge from the top of the sculpture. Parking is limited and is is a very short distance from the motorway from Motueka to Richmond.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a great place for our bike group to meet and go for a bike ride and with the Tasman Store just down the road for a coffee and a bite to eat after the ride the reserve is in a great location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to bring the kids for a bike ride. A lot of open space in the field with plenty of room toy run around in. The play ground could do with a bit of care and attention though as it is very overgrown with weeds and grass which is a pity as it would be a good place to have a picnic.
