The best takeaway ORANGE BEEF in Lower Hutt - I tried all takeaways in 2019: crisp coated with sticky sauce tasting of orange oil, dark soy and chilli. My go-to food for shared meals because it never fails to impress. Could give fewer stars for some failings with other foods, e.g. inadequately drained fried fish and chips, except the ORANGE BEEF is that good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is where I have found my favourite seafood laksa. They don't advertise it but I asked them to make me one and they did. Cost is $22 but its the best I've found in 20 years of trying from all around Wellington City and the burbs. Only try if you love coriander and seafood in your Thai curry laksa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty decent takeaway Chinese food. Advertises as Malaysian, but the Mee Goreng was definitely more "chinese takeaway" style, than "Malaysian restaurant" style. Possibly more to cater to the local tastes than their ability to cook an authentic dish though. The Orange Beef was really nice, and the wontons were delicious--nice and meaty, but not too greasy.
This place will likely be our new local.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drop in here a couple of times a month, to grab dinner on the run. Lady taking order is always friendly and professional. Food is not bad, expect about a 15-minute wait on food. Always people there and been around for ages so yeah it's popular with the locals.
