About Tauranga Intermediate
The Houses act as mini schools and our students learn in them, compete in them, attend hui in them and experience school life as part of this team.
The Houses compete against each other in a variety of competitions for the prized Spirit Trophy. These competitions vary from Cross Country to Hip Hop to Haka to Dodgeball and Battle of the Bands. A chance for all students to get involved in different activities and show their House Spirit in a fun, supportive atmosphere.

β β β β β School was Amazing went on so many cool things. One Field Trip we went to the Fieldays and meet Joseph Parker. Great school. Rata is the best!

β β β β β Terrible School, They shove all of their problems under the carpet... If your kid is getting bullied their first option is to try isolate you instead of punish the bullies... Bullies 100% will re-offend... If your kid gets picked on may aswell just teach your kid to fight..

β β β β β Claim to have a zero tolerance for bullying although these are all just words to make the marketing of the school seem somewhat attractive. Bullying issues are swept under the carpet and the victims left to deal with issues. Archaic staff members who should have retired years ago. The school is more reputation based as opposed to being student based. Too many students and a handful of teachers who couldnβt care less.

β β β β β I was practing my ukulele at school when a student took it and tried to break it and threw it back at me when he couldn't break it and it hit me in the face I told my teacher she said you should just stop practicing and maybe it won't happen again. Just more proof the school should change.

β β β β β This school has had major issues with bullying since I was there the '70's. It seems nothing has changed, as my children suffered the same experience.
This is what happens when children from four main primary schools from vastly different socioeconomic demographics get thrown in together for two years with little discipline.

β β β β β I genuinely disliked my time at this school. Teachers didn't help much, and everyone will be punished for what one kid does. Relatively sexist in terms of girls getting significantly better treatment than boys.
