β β β β β A great little museum combined with a library. I saw the Anne Frank exhibition here in their separate exhibition room, it was beautiful and sobering. The main area celebrates both local Maori history and the Dutch immigrants that settled in the area. There's also a board where visitors are encouraged to write who they are and where they're from, it's interesting to see how far some have come from. There's also a Lego area for the kids and a cafe. Well worth a visit, particularly if you have a Dutch connection.

β β β β β Whoa... What a beautiful place. Fascinating! You wouldn't expect this in Foxton. I loved the stories they tell in the museums. About mana whenua, the Dutch immigrants, and the early pioneering days of our country and Foxton. The birthplace of the Manawatu, apparently. Great to see Foxton soaking up all this culture. Great day out for the family. Would highly recommend it!
