β β β β β Place was pretty busy, staff were happy and friendly, clean and tidy cafe, not overly exspenisive but not cheap either.
Probably best to stick to the pies, we had dumplings, burrito and chicken roll.
Dumplings were cold and tasted of unfresh frozen meat, burrito was ok, chicken roll was a HUGE let down, it looked really nice sitting in the cabinet, when it was opened up the fillings was just at the front of the pita pocket looking bread and nothing at the back, the chicken was waaaaaaaay dry and quite frankly was not nice at all, 1 bites from this and it went straight to my dog who refused to eat it so sits in the bin now.

β β β β β My family and I often drive north of Auckland to enjoy the wide open spaces. For a year or two we have often found ourselves in the Silverdale area and have enjoyed a cafe that's new to us and very clearly worth a mention. The Bake's Son Cafe is warm and welcoming and offers a great range of excellent food and beverages including gluten and dairy free offerings. This is important to us as our daughter has been gluten free for several years. Well done guys! Keep up the good work! We'll be back!

β β β β β Over priced, mass produced food. Charge top dollar for everything, even beverages. Pies taste like gas station pies. Havenβt visited since rebrand so will change my review if the food quality has lifted and prices have dropped.

β β β β β The pies here are great - decent quantity of good quality meat, not too much gravy, perfect amount of seasoning, and pastry is not greasy. The prices are also very reasonable. Plenty of dessert options too, which taste fresh and just the right amount of sweetness, though the desserts do have a lot of butter/oil. Well worth coming back to.

β β β β β Went to drop something off at my husband's work and found this little cafe. Being in an industrial estate, I thought they wouldn't have much GF or DF choices so I left after being there for 5 minutes as they were very busy. I just left the door when one of the employees called out to me to ask if I was ok. I explained the situation and she asked if I was ok to follow her she couldn't recommend many options. It was fantastic. They even have GF pies ! They were so accomodating to me and the food was delicious. The GF pie is yummy too and coffee superb. The whole bill only came to $22. Highly recommend and thank you for saving me going hungry !

β β β β β I don't know these CafΓ©, but their pies are sold in our supermarket. Fantastic tasting vegan buttered chicken pies! Really worth a try if you enjoy a hearty pie with tasty punch, and is generous sized.
