The Chilli House is a hidden gem of Hamilton. It serves the best authentic Sichuanese cuisine in town. Choose from a range of noodle dishes, rice dishes or our famous handmade dumplings for an easy lunchtime meal. Or you could try a more substantial mains meal with braised chicken, pork or tofu to choose from. Pair it all with a Chinese beer or even our Chinese baijiu (spirit) if you are in the mood for the strong stuff.

Service was good. Recommend booking ahead of time as the place is small and fills up very fast.

Sadly I ordered the savoury noodle soup which was very bland, the noodles were over cooked and the meat was dry and slightly cold. I also added on an egg for extra which was missing from my soup. The meal overall was very overpriced for the quality of the food. The waitress who served us was lovely though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice new simple setup...nothing spectacular as all sat down one wall and walkway. Many food options available. All looked good on menu with pictures. We enjoyed our speciality hot pot ( only 3:little prawns tho) good meal to share. Service was good. Would recommend to friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had dinner here. Pros: Great dumplings and they sat us without a booking.
Cons: We got the vege spicy noodles which meant we had to pay $3 each to add tofu. The noodles were OK, but unfortunately the tofu added was uncooked and looked to be straight out of the packet (see pics). Pretty disappointing! We raised it with staff and they said they'd mention it to the kitchen so hopefully its better next time (we still had to pay though).
Overall this placed was overpriced and not a good option for vegetarians.
