The Discount Tyre Shop was established in 1998 by father and son, Chris and James Allen. A few years later, Tony (Chris’ brother) joined the team and the business has been growing ever since. The Discount Tyre Shop now has the LARGEST stock of tyres in New Zealand, and a team of six employees plus work experience placements.
Nowadays, The Discount Tyre Shop is established as the destination for buying tyres. Priding themselves on quality and service, their team promotes a range of tyre sizes and a range of prices to suit a variety of customers. Their Tremaine Avenue branch bulges with over 15,000 tyres in stock, including those hard to get sizes no one else has got.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to get 2 tyres, i had recently brought some hub caps from Super cheap..took my car in with 4 hub caps, got my car back with only 3..they reakon there was no hub caps..they wont even re place the missing 1! Not going there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not recommend. my car's tyre was flat in this morning. I took it to the discount tyre shop this morning & they advised me better change the tyre. They told me that they can replace it with 90% good used tyre or new tyre. I choose the used tyre option. Lucky when I went back to home I called the AA person to change the tyre as I am a AA member. The Aa person said me that this tyre is not safe/ not going to pass the wof as it has got visible cracks all around. I took it back to the Shop again and another person assessed the tyre agreed with the same and I got replaced it with a new tyre by paying extra amount as I don't believe them any more. Moreover, they made me to wait more than a hour to change the tyre . As the AA person said, I was not just happened for an experienced mechanic. Waste of time. Me or my family won't be going there anymore.

I changed my tyres 2 weeks ago from discount tyres but after 1 week I saw that the tyre got partially flat and I fill air and run for another week and it's does the same and I came back to the shop and they told me to replace the tyre because the one is not good for use again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've had the worst luck with punctures this year, and the team at discount Tyre made it easy, fixing 4 punctures within 4months, for free with the shops stickers displayed on my back window. The 5th puncture I got meant needing a new Tyre which they made happen, quick and easy and for a very reasonable price.
