★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The doctors are great, but you can never get an appointment to see them! Its so frustrating having to take a whole morning off work for a 15 appt. No evening or weekend appts either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've found the clinic here amazing. They diagnosed conditions that my previous doctor had missed for 15 years, resolved long standing health issues for my partner, and have been incredibly thorough and supportive to my young one too.
I've not experienced this degree of professionalism and care at a doctor in decades.
The doctors are thorough, listen carefully and provide good advice.,

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am very glad to have Elizabeth and her team to take care of my medical concerns. This practice provides prompt and comprehensive care and are one of the best that I have dealt with. I have never had difficulties getting timely appointments here. They listen and respond appropriately. My daughter and her young son are also enrolled with Liz and also hold her in high esteem. I thoroughly recommend this practice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very dissatisfied with this medical practice. Have never had an appointment that's been on time, even when it is the very first appointment of the day and I have had to arrange to be late to work and they are almost 30 mins late to see me.
The service I received from my doctor was very cold, made to feel stupid and that what I was explaining about my situation was irrelevant and I was wrong. Uses the phrase "just don't worry" a lot which is really not comforting at all.
Pushes hormonal contraceptive very strongly even though I have made it very clear that I am not interested in that and I feel it is wrong to push that on someone and offer it as the answer to various medical conditions or situations..
Thankfully saw a locum doctor once which was the best service I have had there so far.
The reception staff however are always very helpful, friendly and communicative whether it is over the phone or via email, cannot say the same if you wish to speak to a nurse even after calling and leaving several messages and never getting a call back about results. Seems to happen every time.
Very poor customer service and overall very poor communication and just such a lack of compassion and understanding towards patients. Make you feel like a burden for trying to get answers and seem very narrow minded in what they want to offer you. Having given it a long enough go, now in search of a new medical practice to attend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First, there’s this one receptionist (not all, only one, I believe her name is Nicky) who is always rude to me personally & got a negative attitude. She might be racist because usually I see her nice to others including my white wife. It’s not only my opinion as my wife thought so too! My doctor, Dr. Lyons, who I’ve been seeing over a year over the same matter seems wonderful & helpful. My condition wasn’t resolved taking antibiotics in which finally I was referred for a surgery. After surgery, the condition has occurred again which is common based on what hospital told me saying I could possibly need another surgery. Hospital said if so, Dr. Lyons would refer me back to the hospital for a booked second surgery. What I don’t understand is that he still didn’t come up with diagnosis & keeps putting me back on antibiotics increasing my dose that I’m now taking antibiotics 4 times a day without an effort getting a hospital referral. I’m not saying he’s a bad doctor, I wouldn’t know, but my experience has been so horrible this far.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They make life harder for their patients. Order a prescription for inhalers a month in advance, go to get the prescription and it's not there at all. Call them up and they haven't even sent my prescription through from a month ago. Then I have to wait 4 hours while almost fighting for my life from asthma to get my prescription that should've been done weeks ago. Worst doctors to exist. Changing doctors strait away, these people are useless

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing clinic. I recently moved from another clinic where I felt incredibly neglected & found it so hard to get basic healthcare let alone polite service.
The staff and service at The Doctors Birkenhead are a breath of fresh air & it's so nice to finally feel heard and respected - I'm so glad I moved.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This isn’t a family or child friendly doctors practice. The only two things that are wonderful here are the receptionist and the nurses.
I recently had booked for a doctors checkup for my 15 mouth old and his vaccinations. They made him do the vaccinations first and then the check up afterwards. The doctor’s irritable and unfriendly manner was very unprofessional and showed lack of empathy as my toddler was unsettled from the vaccinations. The doctor’s attitude didn’t help and made things worse. The doctor proceeded to cover his ears with his hands and say my son has no social skills without doing any examinations on him, continued to blame myself and my husband for his lack from social skills. He wasn’t interested in anything what I had to say and told us to come back another day when my son wasn’t crying.
The nurse who administered the vaccinations prior to the checkup was very friendly and told us this is a normal reaction for a 15 month old getting vaccinations. The receptionists also treated us kindly even with my son crying.
The only reason I enrolled here was because all the other doctors practices close by were full. This experience isn’t worth the unnecessary stress that was brought upon us and as a mother I would want my child to be safe in the hands of a doctor. I don’t know how that doctor even thought I’d be back after being treated like that.
I wouldn’t want this to happen to any other family or child. I recommend doing a thorough search before coming here, however if it’s an appointment with the nurse, it’s a great place to go.
