Large open dining area, well heated through winter. Clean facilities.
Menu has plenty of options, reasonably priced for the size of the meals. Meals were out fairly quickly considering how many were dining.
The main stand out was the young gentleman who waited on our table. Always there to see if we needed refills, clearing tables and he very kindly plated up the birthday cake that we brought in for a family member. He is a credit to their business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Made a reservation and was here again on the evening of the 14th Feb 2021.
The experience was much less than I hoped for or expected to be honest.
First up I would say that that staff were great. I have no issues with the manner of professionalism or courtesy of the waiting staff what so ever.
However I have to say the food was very bland. It was presented well but that was it.
I really found the food to be prepared in a way that - I could have done it better myself.
Sauces and food generally just flavorless and boring.
Fillet Mignon over cooked , king prawns over cooked ( mushy) and generally all round boring meal.
I thought the seafood selection on the menu a bit mediocre to. Nothing really on it to jump out and say " I want that!!"
The thing that had the nicest taste was the Lemon Cheesecake dessert at the end!!
⭐⭐⭐ from me and only in credit to hard working pleasant table and bar staff.
For the food it would be ⭐⭐.
I wont be rushing back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was greeted with by being told we had 5 minutes to order (6:15pm on a tuesday). I had the chicken and my wife had the pork, both of which were faultless, except for the piece of black PLASTIC I bit into in my meal. We weren’t meal checked until we had all but finished.
Offered the dessert menu, which we took, and then waited 20 minutes before one of our 3 servers of the night came back. Currently been waiting about 20 (and counting) minutes for dessert.
Have not been asked to refill drinks once.
All in all, food almost makes the terrible service worth a visit.
Edit: I was charged wrong on my meal, spoke to the manager about my overall experience who told me she’s “dealt with people for 30 years” and “I know I won’t be able to make you happy” and sarcastically told me “thanks for the feedback, it really helps me”

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can’t praise this place enough, the only good restaurant with delicious food to die for… and amazing!!! service!!!!! both crucial things present in the same restaurant, apart from ‘buster crab’ in Invercargill!!!!
This place is becoming my new favourite now,

Highly recommended, give it a go!!!
You won’t be disappointed!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely dining experience for a golden wedding anniversary. Friendly efficient hostess. All meals out at same time. Fabulous seafood chowder, lambs fry with bacon and roast lamb meals. A varied reasonably priced menu. Highly recommend.
