★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in as a reasonable sized group for my dads birthday Easter weekend. Had never visited before. Liked the initial look of the place, nice mood, lighting, atmosphere. The menu was very small and limited with only really pizzas, burgers and a few extras to choose from. Noticed the prices seemed very expensive for just a pizza or burger. Mums coffee was cold, she said it tasted weak. My dads coffee was cold too but he drunk it. Food took about an hour to arrive. Pizza was cold, and flavourless. Loaded chips were nice but cold also. Not nearly enough gravy, maybe only about a tablespoon. Very stingey. Son had pizza, said it was OK, nothing great, and was also cold. Other son had chicken burger, said it was nice but for the price paid, you'd expect it to be. Meals were bought out pretty much altogether which was good and no errors in the orders placed which was good too. Overall, I felt the kitchen staff probably did the best they could do as they seemed understaffed in my opinion which would explain why everything bought out to us was so cold. I feel like you're paying more for the environment and setting than the actual food. We won't be returning nor recommending this place to anyone. I believe there are many other places in chch that do burgers and pizzas at a much more reasonable price and with more taste. And customers do expect hot food not cold!

Managed to fix up an error of a missing entre in the order for us quickly. 2 people ordered soup and one soup spoon was provided and the other normal a normal spoon which was a little funny. Lamb shanks were good though came with an unexpected bean mix on top. Decent portion sizes of the meals. Garlic bread was yummy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wait staff friendly enough. No drinks menus at the table. Good took an hour to come out when the place was pretty empty. Kitchen couldn't who up mashed potato and gravy for a toddler with us. My calamari salad was very good. My mother's side of potato wedges were awful. Won't be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mussels were amazing! So was the sauce they were cooked In... Ribs were tasty.. Wasn't a fan of the coleslaw it was quite bland.. Apart from that... Amazing! Daughter loved the crispy chicken and the good home burger.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to celebrate a birthday and everyone loved their meal. They were delicious and servings were generous especially the ribs. Service was great and all the staff were friendly, smiling and helpful. Will definitely be back.

The best atmosphere, comfy seating booths tucked away, nestled in shelves full of books.. nice neutral music, feels like your at home if you had a really flash house... FREE Pacman machine in the game area for the kids. The food is DELICIOUS and at a very reasonable price for such quality. The staff are next level nice and down to earth especially Madi who is our usual waitress, she is AWESOME!! And deserves a payrise ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing customer service, we were warmly welcomed and seated pronto, our servers were happy and chatty, the food was brought to our table fast and tasted amazing they also have gluten free and vegetarian options. Definitely go here and take your whole family.
The Good Home is exactly what it sounds like a great place to make memories and relax with friends and family while also having some amazing food?
(photos below are the main and dessert I had, can't remember what the main was called but it was yummy and the dessert is a chocolate brownie bomb that was gluten free and super yummy)
