We got married in New Zealand, expecting to find a nice place in Wanaka, so when I was looking for a cake and flower crown, I found this place for floral (and another wonderful place for the cake) both in Wanaka. We ended up getting married in Glenorchy, about 3 hrs away ? So we had to pick up our orders the night before. The quality of the flower crown I received, after sending many pictures of what I was looking for, (but was honestly open to creativity, mostly focused on keeping the deep red, either light pink or white and some greenery) - what I received was absolutely beautiful. We were all really stunned by how gorgeous the piece was. Choosing to elope, I knew I wasn’t looking for crazy floral arrangements, I didn’t want a bouquet, and chose to pick something a little more personal, due to my Polynesian background, and honestly they are just very pretty and slightly eccentric. I didn’t want to spend a lot of time holding something in my hand(s), or making someone else hold it for me. The flower crown was a beautiful addition to such a wonderful day. For the most part, this company was very quick and attentive to communication, which was necessity for me being that I’m from the states. The ONE and ONLY critical aspect would be the lack of communication when it came to pick up, but I honestly chalk that up to the 3hr distance, having to pick up the NIGHT before, and it being probably a little impractical. But letting me know the box was outside would have been a little easier on both of us, I’d say. Regardless, wonderful communication, beautiful arrangement, and I would 100% recommend! My Husband and I chose The Green Room Flower Company to do our florals for our big day on 8 January 2019 at the gorgeous Lake Hawea View. About three weeks out from our wedding they decided to let us know that the flower markets are closed during this Christmas/NY period so the type of flowers that are available are limited. This was never communicated to us earlier and the fact that our flora's were not confirmed before then started to ring alarm bells for us. It was hard to get them to respond to us to confirm our orders. I had asked specifically for a dense white, pink and burgundy rose table arrangement and I ended up with a rainbow of colours including yellow which I had never asked for and did not go with the theme I was going for. I also asked for white rose petals for the throwing confetti and ended up with a rainbow of colours. I also asked for a floral arrangement to be installed onto the swing which I shared images of twice for them to get an understanding of how they were going to construct the installation. On the day, they showed up with a small box of mixed matched florals that in no way reflected the style and colour I was going for. They said they couldn't install it onto the swing and proceeded to leave it on the fire place mantel. I advised them that they would need to install it the same way as they would install florals on an arch. I honestly think they were double booked that day and didnt want to spend the time installing any florals onto the swing. They also charged $200 for this tiny piece and frankly was not worth near that! A day before the wedding they advised that a delivery of florals were going to be delayed so they couldn't get to the venue at the time we had arranged. On the day they showed up an hour before the ceremony started with no time to set up the swing. From get go, it was a stressful process and two months on I am still fuming and incredibly upset of the florals that we ended up with. Money was never ever an issue and now wish I would have gone else where and paid alot more to ensure I got what I asked for. I communicated all of this to them and they were offering part and full refunds on the florals, which I do not want. At the end of the day, I did not get the wedding style I paid for and communicated tirelessly with lots of image examples which is incredibly disappointing.

The Green Room did our wedding and I am over the moon with my florals. Rach and her team nailed the brief and had some exceptional ideas for our day, really making a statement with all the florals. She is such a joy to work with also making the whole experience enjoyable and not stressful at all. Definitely recommend for any brides to go see her...you'll have a blast! Her shop in Wanaka is also such a stunning space & I'm sure to never leave empty handed. Thanks Rach & The Green Room x

Rach and the team made our wedding so special! They were full of great ideas and suggestions and went above and beyond to make sure the finished product worked with every other facet of our big day. Her team were relaxed and punctual and worked efficiently in the short time frame we gave them. I would recommend The green room for any event and can also vouch for their in shop bouquets. They have saved me a number of times!

Was gifted a dried floral vase from The Green Room, it arrived missed labeled for the right way up so had been sitting on the flowers for about 2 days before it was opened. So disappointed in the quality it now just sits hidden away because of how sad it looks. From rough memory I think they cost about $60, for that price I thought you would atleast remember to mark the box correctly. I've been into the store since then to try and get it fixed but the staff member just stayed out the back of the shop the whole time. I guess it will stay in the back of cupboards until someone else can do a better job.

Rachel and the girls did an amazing job on our wedding florals, I was so impressed! They nailed the brief and provided so much guidance and advice throughout the whole process. My bridal bouquet turned out perfectly and was unique, which I really loved. Thanks again guys!!
