A great spot for traditional British pie! Love their Hot Cornish pie and the fruit pie. I saw a lot of people recommended the Cornish pie, but I’d say the fruit pie is also a must try!

Stunning home made pies of the highest quality We had the Cornish pasty, chicken tikka and pork pies and all were divine The ice creams with white chocolate sauce were also delicious . A must do if you are planning to visit Shakespeare regional park

I’d go as far to say this is the best Cornish pasty I’ve had in NZ - we’ll worth the diversion

Blown away by highest quality pastries, cornish pasties and fresh fruit icecream in a hidden spot by a beautiful Marina. We had explored Shakespear Park and went hunting (as you do) for fresh fruit icecream after the adventure, only to stumble upon The Kitchen Door and the beautiful food there. Well worth the visit - especially to any Brits in need of a traditional pastry fix!

Absolutely lovely. Traditional Cornish brings back memories of working in Camborne. The cheese and onion are to die for and the new cheesy ratatouille ones are highly recommended.

Delicious home made pork pies and pasties. Well worth the visit if your in the area and if your not...you have to make the trip. Sean (owner) is lovely, chatty and friendly.??

Discovered the place after following street signs from Army Bay. After a few minutes, it was well worth it! Real award winning. No need to go to Cornwall to eat Cornish Pastie with Rick Stein! ? Took home heaps of other pies. The fruit cake ice cream with the white cocolate and mint sauce topping (Micheline Star winner) was awesome and customers next to us said all other ice cream are nice too specially the banana ice cream. Well that's one to come back for! Coffee was superb, owner roasts the beans himself! A must place to visit when in Whangaparoa.

Just stumbled across this place after following a sign trail from Shakespeare park for Cornish pasties. It was a real treat, we had cheese, onion and potato pastie and a pork pie. We will definitely be going back to try more goodies. It’s also on the marina so a lovely view too. Thank you for staying open in what must be a very difficult time ???
