★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Child friendly. Great spa. Great veiws. Secluded. Easy to find and close to auckland. Great safe natural swimming holes in the river. Beautiful native bush a stones throw away. Clean, tidy, big veranah. Great lawn. Friendly sheep.
A must for groups and families or group of families. Within cycling distance of Karangahake gorge for the fitter cyclists, the roads are quiet and a nice ride in themselves. Great ride to the nearby Dickeys flat. Would definitely stay again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The oven and hobb wouldn't work properly - it took a long time to cook anything. first night tried to heat up some chips and it took two hours on the hottest setting. The second night it took an hour to heat up water for some pasta. The hot tub was hot the first day, but was only just warm on the second day. The slider door on the downstairs bathroom kept falling off. We should have taken our own salt and pepper (forgot to take some) as the salt and pepper shaker supplied were empty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is incredible! We had 4 days here over Auckland Anniversary weekend. Between trail walks (in every direction from the cabin) and picnics on the grass by the river (at the base of the property) we had a brilliant time. Bedrooms are lovely and large, Kitchen has everything we needed, BBQ and spa was icing on the cake. This is my 2nd stay and I will be back again. Waihi is one of the most beautiful spots in NZ!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning cabin, would be lovely in any weather. The water hole was beautiful and there was a great swing for the kids out over the water. The water was absolutely freezing but the beach is only a 15 minute drive away, and supermarket 10 minutes away. The spa was hot which was a lovely after the cold water hole. There are sheep on the large property and many native birds around, and even better - no internet (unless you were desperate and wanted to pay $20 for it). It was spacious and could sleep a couple of families comfortably. I would say the only thing lacking was a comfy lounger outside to read a book. All in all, fantastic!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely fantastic stay at the Log Cabin. Great location and felt so zen!! It was immaculately clean, had everything you could want for a relaxing stay. The spa pool was brand new with all the features you could want (even waterproof playing cards!!). The Log Cabin itself is nestled in the most beautiful NZ bush, with river access and a fabulous swimming hole to cool off in! there is a huge outdoor table for entertaining, spacious dining/living and the beds were so comfortable. All in all the most wonderful stay, thank-you so much!
