★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered by phone from Waiheke Island 1 metre of AT2214 aluminium tubing, and it arrived the very next day. ?????The Metal Company is in Blenheim, in the South Island, 800km away, so that is incredible. ? The person I dealt with was very friendly and efficient.? And attached to the very well-packaged consignment was a Freddo bar.? I have known things to take two weeks to get the short distance from Auckland to Waiheke, and no Freddo, just sour-faced grumpiness from people who had repeatedly failed to deliver. The Metal Company obviously knows what 'good service' means. They give it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid this company at all costs, unbelievably poor customer service, we bought a butterfly valve from them, and upon arrival, when we unpacked it, found it was missing the handle. No problem, being a business owner I completely understand these things happen, so we proceed to inform them and ask them to provide a replacement handle (worth $30, hardly a big ticket item). The accusatory and down right nasty response from this company still annoys me to this day, instead of stepping up to the plate and replacing the handle, we had everyone from the Sales team to Luke Frankland and Steve Fisher all refuse to supply a replacement handle (again we are talking a $30 part..) quoting chapter and verse about their “Cameras” and “processes” in place to prevent any issues like this, the time expended alone on the forward and back would have been more than the cost of the part. At the end of the day, we ended throwing the entire assembly in the bin out of frustration and went with a reputable supplier. Unfortunately Google doesn’t allow you to rate someone in the negative range as if we could, trust me we would. Think twice before being enticed by a flashy website.
