β β β β β Sneaking in for a quick and simple 1/100 armour kit or something more elaborate, if Alan ain't got it he will find it for you. Great atmosphere, great advice, always hard to spend 'just' a half hour there. Two thumbs up, both covered in paint!

β β β β β Alan, the owner, is a top bloke and skilled modeller. He's very friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge across many modelling genres. I've found his advice very useful on numerous occasions. I am also impressed by the range he carries, much of which is unique in my experience and not offered by other NZ model shops. I highly recommend The Model Room.

β β β β β Alan, the owner is friendly and full of good advice. The paint I was after was not in stock however he had it there within a few days (it's an unusual colour).
The shop has a good selection of models to cater for most genres and are reasonably priced. There are also supplies and die casts available as well.
It's great to have a proper hobby shop back in South Auckland.

β β β β β Reallly awesome owner. Helpful. Unbelievable array of model interests/subjects. Awesome too see this type of store alive & kicking. Prices from $5 up for models. I've never seen such a mix of subjects & then the range of types within each subject.
