★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As popular as ever, the Rope and Twine was busy early in the evening, early in the week when we visited last week. With no pretences, it turns out consistently good pub food at reasonable prices. The staff are helpful, the service is quick and you get exactly what you expect from pub meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Atmosphere was great but the beef stew was just beef tomatoes and mushrooms, but this wasn't stated and I am allergic to mushrooms so asked for a replacement meal which they bought out for me and it was average. After the dessert as we were about to leave they charged me for another meal even though I hadn't eaten any of the stew as I saw the mushrooms before I ate it. Complete rip off. I will never go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haven't been to this pub for a very long time. It has been refurbished inside and looks really good. The meals I've got to say have definitely picked up and are of a really good standard. Staff are very pleasant and also prompt in making you feel welcome on arrival. I will be going back again as I thoroughly enjoyed it. Car parking is there but can fill up pretty quick. 2 accesses to the park and both off main thoroughfares and entry/exits at both points come out onto traffic lights so just be careful. For those of you who enjoy a gamble they have a gaming room as well. I have really enjoyed this local and they have done well to build it up. Congratulations ..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a cozy bar and restaurant in South Dunedin. One thing that makes me interested is they have specials deals and promotions during the week. So you can choose which suit you. The staffs are friendly and provides excellent services. Price is good, taste yum, cozy dining room, clean and they play the music fairly. Will back next time to experiencing other dish.
