★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great walking/biking track. Best thing 8s the signage for the track is fantastic, we've been to places with poor signage and have gotten lost. Great for the directionally challenged. Didn't do the full loop as had somewhere to go but will be back. Great place for dogs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for a picnic, or take your family for a bike ride on the well made track (4.5 km loop) with gentle twist and turn, and up and down. I think it suits a three year old as well as older kids. Or you can take your trail bike for a spin on the outer track along the Waimak.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice vantage point to watch the Waimakariri river flows past the Canterbury plain. A stunning place to go for a relaxing walk and view the sunset. The last kilometre of road leading to the car park is just non-asphalt surfaced. You must drive slowly with care to avoid rock chipping onto your windscreen.
