About Thomas Plumbing & Gas Ltd
Thomas Plumbing and Gas Ltd was founded by Harold Thomas in 1974.
Harold’s extensive experience and involvement with Master Plumbers Association and Plumbers Gasfitters Drainlayers Registration Board has enabled the company to be a major player in plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying throughout the Greater Wellington Region. In fact, 80% of gas mains on the Kapiti Coast have been installed by Thomas Plumbing and Gas Ltd's contracting division.
Extensive rural development from the mid 1990’s led to further expansion into effluent disposal systems, water tanks and more recently, greywater systems. Harold is an accepted Effluent Disposal Designer which means we can provide a design service without the added cost of an engineer for clients building in a rural setting who require Septic Tank Design.
Thomas Plumbing and Gas Ltd is a registered master plumber, master gasfitter and master drainlaying company. Our reputation for quality workmanship and excellent service has enabled us to secure exclusive warranty servicing covering the Kapiti Coast and Horowhenua for household names like Rheem, Rinnai, American Standard, Greens Tapware and Wallace Pumps.
Nowadays, Steve Thomas and wife Karen manage and operate the business with a qualified staff of 9. Steve has built a reputation for working with architects to design and install cost effective plumbing solutions to meet todays demands on building projects.
There are three generations of the Thomas family actively working in the business today.
There is a retail showroom so that we can sell a range of heating systems, including wood burners, gas heaters and gas fireplaces, plus gas cooking systems direct to the public. You can view some of our range at our showroom.
