W	William Philipson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite being immediately visually appealing, these facilities seem to be designed without the user ever in mind. The doors of the toilets all face in different ways, so it is impossible to see all of the entrances at all times while waiting. Meaning there is no place for people to line up. People must wait outside an individual toilet, and if they think another toilet may be available they must lose their space in the line and walk over to it. To make matters worse there is no way to visually see if the toilets are occupied. You must physically try the door. Now inside the toilets the lock is visually confusing, so much so that they have had to be labeled with a big sign saying “THIS IS NOT A LOCK”, since people often don’t read signs I witnessed people walking in on others while I was there. In the toilet the various buttons are so confusing that someone has had to label everything, as the design is very unclear. The flush mechanism is confusing. The hand dryer in awkwardly low and next to the flusher, so people must bend awkwardly over the toilet to dry their hands. This may have been the worst design for a set of public toilets I have ever seen. It seems like the designer was way more focused on having a cool looking design for their portfolio, than actually putting any thought on how people might actually use the space.
